Mayor Loren Graham recognizes an ultimatum when she hears one, so when Sheriff's Investigator Jim Thompson tells her to stay out of law enforcement business or risk losing his support, she resolves to do just that. But after a stranger drags her out on a cold fall night to show her a skeleton, Loren is caught up in a mystery which threatens to blow the lid off a 30-year-old-secret.
